Summertime is here, and that means it's one of the best opportunities
to get outside and enjoy activities. Physical activity should be your friend. After all, it's the best
predictor of long-term weight management.
If you're thinking this sounds like the set-up to a Company
Challenge, you're right.
It's Time to Get Moving. It's Time to Get Fit. Are you ready?
Beginning July 11, you will be able to be rewarded for any exercise
you begin or are currently involved in. Record the exercise and the minutes
you complete to earn points! You can also start wearing a pedometer and
receive points for miles walked!
Completing a Step will earn 40 points. If all five steps are
completed, you will earn 200 points. 10 miles equals one step. Simply log
your exercise, and the website will convert your minutes of activity into
miles. If you have a pedometer log your pedometer steps separately from
normal exercise since you can't log them at the same time and receive
credit for both. Likewise, to keep an accurate log, please remember to
remove your pedometer while doing normal exercise.
Here's how you can get started:
Step 1: Log in to wellnessatunited.com
Step 2: Click My Wellness Center
Step 3: Click Enroll in a Challenge
Step 4: Choose the “Get Moving! Get Fit! Physical Activity
Challenge”
Step 5: Click the first Step and begin recording (Once you have reached the end of each step’s miles, it will take you to the next step)
This challenge is worth 200 points if completed! Good luck and go get 'em!
